Computers and the Internet

I started in the computer field over 35 years ago. I wrote cobol programs using key punch cards. Programs could take days to be be read and processed. The computers were very large. I have fixed PCs and taught people how to use them. Now I have this 14 x 14 inch box which sits on my desk and today I wish I could hit it with a hammer. On most days programs run really fast. I can get access to the internet in a flash. Today I couldn't open a program for at least 1/2 hour. I have not been able to logon to the internet all day. I have replaced the hard drive because it crash two weeks ago. I reinstall all my programs, files, pictures and my documents. I built the computer so I know it inside and out. I have work to do and I am at a stand still. My email is screwed up. It is 7:45pm and I am finally able to post this message. What did we do before computers, how did we live without them? Some day these computer will catch on.
