When Will the Maddness End?

My mom just called to tell me she read an article in the local newspaper that the Country Sampler Store is closing its 3 stores in Illinois and other states. I was one of the first crafters in the Arlington Heights Store. This is just heart breaking for crafters all over. Here is the link to the article.

JB did great last night at the NJROTC Pass In Review. He received two ribbons for uniform inspection and unit particaption. His best friend Danny received a Circle Ten metal for an outstanding uniform inspection. JB got a ten on his uniform which is the highest they can normaly go, but he was one away from a circle tem.

JB is the Guide On for his platoon. He leads his platoon when they march. Last night was the first time I saw him march, and he was great and so was his platoon.

The armed drill team was outstanding. Watching the team swing the rifles and march was breath taking. When they hit the butt of the rifles on the floor the sound echoed in the gym and inside you.

At the end of the night the whole unit (about 250 cadets) march infront of the bleaches and they got a standing ovation. Those of us who have teenagers sometimes forget what amazing young men and women they are. To see these cadets come together and work as one is a tribute to their heart and dedication.

I am not doing much fabric cutting or scanning today. I just can get motivated today.

To all my sister and brother quilters Thank-you for your support.
