Cleaning Day

When I was cleaning the closet in the Den today I found my Barbie dolls. Here are four outfits my Mom knitted for me when I was a kid. I remember her knitting little things and she would not tell me what they were. When I would open my Hanukkah gifts I would be surprised because they were knitted and sewn outfits for my Barbies and other dolls. These outfits are over 40 years old and they are in great shape. When I was going through my Mom's knitting tubs I did not find any patterns. I wonder what happened to them.

Have A Great Evening,

Debbi

The Barbie clothes are very cute. I have knit some of those slippers recently. My 92 year old father loves them and I have been mending the mended patches on his current pair. I finally decided it would be easier to knit a new pair.

Don't know if you remember my showing some Barbie clothes that I knit for my daughter - well over 25 years ago - and I don't know what happened to the patterns either...

My mom and I used to crochet clothes for my Barbies. There are really cute books out now for knitting and crocheting sweaters for Barbies and matching for the girls. Haven't tried any yet.

Belated comment. Somehow I missed these when they were posted. Those look so much like the ones I knitted for my daughters way back when. I wonder what happened to them and to the instructions.
