New Year's Day

Today was a good day to stay in bed, watch football and HGTV. Tomorrow my family returns to work and school so I will be able to return to my routine. The first things I have to do is dust, vacuum, and wash bedding. My sewing studio is clean so I can work on my January "Family" Journal Quilt. The first journal will be the family tree.

Last night at my sister's was very relaxing even if the Bears lost. One of my sons is a Green Bay Packers fan and he made sure we all knew it. We never went in the hot tube. I was just to lazy to get off the couch. I can not believe how warm it is here and no snow. Today it is a bit colder.

Responses to yesterdays posting:

Susan - I love being in the hot tub in the cold Chicago winters.
Fruit Jar Nicky - You have to get it that hot tub!

I hope everyone had a great New Year's Eve and Day!

We were supposed to go to a friend's hot tub on NYE but a foot and a half of new snow prevented us. Luckily the plow went through and everyone was here for New Years Day, although there seemed to be a couple of mild hangovers. Lol. I hear that warm weather is predicted so all the snow may disappear. Our lane is still blocked with snow so that could be a good thing! Happy New Year!

Happy New Year, Debbi! Sounds like you had a nice relaxing New Year's Eve, even if you didn't make it into the hot tub. :) I love it when things have slowed down a bit, and the football games are on. I'm trying to figure out how to slow Father time down a bit...his pace is much too fast for me! LOL
