Over the weekend my husband got 4 boxes down from the attic. All four boxes are filled with photos and old papers from DHs family. Almost all of the photos are loose have no names or dates. great-grandparents and grandparents left Russia and Poland with only the clothes on their backs.
I am working on my February 12 X 12 12 Journal Quilt for the Quilt Studio Challenge. January was titled "Family Tree" and February is DHs "Grand Parents Branch".

Those photos are treasures! I especially love the picture of his grandmother sewing by hand... it's beautiful! It could be an ad for the serenity derived from hand work. Your postcards are wonderful!
I love the swimsuits!!
I love old photographs! I especially like to look at the body language in them. It is fun to wonder what they were thinking. the woman sewing looks beautiful.
We are lucky we have a lot of old photos, & we did get details of who is who. My husband was not interested in his family history, & sadly, we have no photos from his family.
Fabulous photos and so lucky to have them!
