What A Great Day Trip to Cedarburg, WI

We had a great time today. The drive up was only 1 1/2 hours and traffic was good. Cedarburg was not busy and a lot of fun to walk around and see the history of an old town.

We walked around checking out the stores and stopped in a few. My son is learning about home brewing beer and talked to Steve in a store that sells home brew products. Steve was a wealth of information and a great guy.

Gilli who left a comment for me about a quilt shop in town. The quilt shop is Material Matters and I did stop in the shop. I came home with a bag of goodies and will take photos and post on Saturday. This is an outstanding quilt shop. They have long arm machines and rent them to quilt on, they have an outstanding amount of fabrics and supplies. I WISH I LIVED CLOSER. Thank-you Gilli to the heads up and for stopping by my blog. Please stop by again.

We did not make it to the quilt museum because we promised our #1 son we would get to the brew company. The Silver Creek Brewing CO. opened at 3 and did not give us much time before we had to leave for home. Hubby and BB tried a few beers and said they were very good. We left just in time for Friday traffic and the drive home took almost 2 1/2 hours. #2 son JB had plans with friends at 7pm and we made it home in time.

It was a good day and it is always fun doing things as a family.
