Great News and More Fabric Painting

Several weeks ago my #2 son had a seizure and has not had one since and only one migraine. He had a Cat scan, EEG and MRI over the past few weeks. All tests came back normal. THIS IS GREAT NEWS!!!! Because his migraines are only happening once or twice a month he will not take maintenance meds but only when he feels like he is getting a migraine. He is like millions of people, mom, aunt, dad and cousins who just migraines for no reason.

This is the fabric I sun printed a few weeks ago. On Saturday I painted leaves and stamped the fabric where the sun printed leaves were. I got the leaves from my trees and painted the backs and placed the leaves on the fabric and rolled over the leaves. I really like how these turned out. You can see in the closeups the great prints the leaves left. I also stamped white muslin with leaves. I will post photos another day.

I was feeling badly yesterday too. Hope today is better for you. That is good news for your son. Hope he remains migraine free.

Too bad about your son, mine has seizures too, but he has to take meds. I just leaf painted/stamped a large quilt. When I washed it the first time I had some fabrics bleed (even tho they had been prewashed). So I used the leaf printing to cover up the spots. Worked great!

I'm sorry to hear about your son. There are a lot of things that can cause seizures. I love the leaf prints. How long did it take for the sun to "print" the leaves?

You are an inspiration to me. I haven't tried sun painting yet, but I have some of the stuff so it's definately on my list.

I'm glad your son is alright and if he is young enough, I hope he will eventually outgrow the migraines. My son had them as a child but later in life his stopped.

Your printed and dyed fabrics are wonderful. My son used to get migraines and then at about age 35 they just stopped. No idea why but he's very happy about that.

glad the tests returned "normal". Hopefully the seizure was an isolated migraine response -- I know mine stay as headaches but a girlfriend has one side of her face that goes numb -- like a stoke, so there are a variety of responses to migraines....

I love your painted leaves. Great idea to roll over them to transfer the paint :-)

Love your leaf prints, Deb. Is that a Catawba leaf in one of those?

Beautiful fabrics! Can't wait for winter...it's the best time for sun printing here...crytal clear blue skies and temps in the low 80's. Heaven on earth, but alas, it's not here yet...still so very hot.

glad your son is doing better..hopfully he will outgrow this.
