A Day Not To Be Forgotten

Twenty four years ago a young groom and bride took the vows to love and honor each other until death do them part. Today this young groom and bride are older, the parents of two sons and are no longer together. They are doing their best to remain friends and good parents to their sons. The day is full of memories of the past 24 years of good times and some not so good but could not end without remembering.

I hear you! I also am no longer married to my first husband, the father of my children. But we have managed to raise them together, although in separate households, and we've done a damn fine job of it. And so have you! The memory of that anniversary is always bittersweet, but it's worthwhile when you can stand together at your kids' weddings, side by side with the newer spouses, and all be there with love and joy together. You should be very proud! It's the harder way to raise kids, I think, but never let anyone tell you it can't be done successfully!
