International Quilt Festival - Friday - Days Two and Three

I had another two wonderful days at the festival. On Saturday for lunch with a group of Illinois Pickles who are members of the Pickle Road Studio Yahoo group. I have been a member over a year and met Mark last year at the festival. This year I was able to meet more members and it is so good to put a face to a name. This is a great group of people and you may want to check out the group and Marks magazine. Here is the link for the group.

I spent way to much money, but I have stocked up on fabric dyes and a whole bunch of new toys. I will be taking photos and showing you them over the next week or two. Yes I have that many new toys.

Here are the links to my webshots for the photos of quilts the past three days.

Once again I tried to take a photo of the information card with each quilt so the artist is given credit.

If you did attend the festival I would love to hear from you. Did anyone else notice how may quilts were Art Quilts this year? I love Art Quilts and I am hoping to make more this year then in the past. I do love making traditional quilts but I just want to expand my skills.

Quilting Kim - Your are welcome! I am glad you enjoy the photos and the tip. I can not remember who did what quilt after seeing so many so I started taking a photo of the information card to remember and it is also good when I post the photo so the artist gets credit for their work.

Joanna van - You are welcome! I love the tumbling boy quilt too.

Beth - You are welcome! Life is just not fair because I want to go to Paducah too. Maybe next year you can come here and stay at my house and we can go to IQF together.

Helen - You are welcome! Wait until you see the photos from Saturday and todays.

International Quilt Festival - Friday - Day One

Today I went to the IQF in Rosemont, Illinois. I meet up with friends and met a new friend as I walked from the parking lot. Wendy lives in Illinois, not far from me so we will be able to get together again.

I did purchase alot of goodies and will show photos next week.

I did take photos of quilts today and here is the link to my webshots. I tried to get photos of the quilts with the information card for each artist. Please enjoy the photos but remember they are not my quilts so if you do download a photo please also get the information card. I will be posting more photos on Saturday and Sunday so check back.

IQF

I will be going to the International Quilt Festival in Rosemont Illinois. I am lucky because I only live 10 miles away. I will be meeting up with friends and meeting online friends in person for the first time.

I have my camera, shopping list and notes of things to do ready and packed in my backpack. I am so excited and can't wait to see all the great quilts.
