Over Dyed Table Cloth and Napkins

This is a table cloth and napkins that was my Mom's. I do not know where she got it and I do not remember her ever using it. Some the thread work was a ugly blue and white before I over dyed it. I wish I took "before photos" but I did not. I cut the table cloth up and place the pieces in dye and fabric paint. The dye did not stick to the fabric which was not natural fibers. The fabric paint did stick a little to the fabric. I love how the thread dyed. I am going to add these to my stash and use(maybe) at a later date. If anyone wants any please send me an email and let me know.

Busy Times Again

I had dyed fabric from a few years ago the was ugly so I over dyed and painted it on Sunday. I made a Star of David stamp from foam shapes and glued it to wood. Below is the fabric drying on the fence. I am going to use this fabric for Hanukkah Postcards and trade with my Jewish Quilters Group.

Stamped Star of David on white muslin then over dyed with Navy MX dye.

All the fabric below was old ugly dyed fabric and I over dyed it.
Because the sun was so bright you can see the fence thru the fabric.
The colors are also washed out from the bright sun. I have not washed the
fabric so I am sure the colors will washout a bit.

I have no plans for this fabric so I will add it to my stash.
Early today I mono printed old ugly dyed fabric and will post photos tomorrow.
The new TV season is starting so I am off to watch the new shows.
Take Care!

Over Dye Commercial Fabrics

I have not over dyed fabric before and wanted to try it. I did not want to use any of my hand dyes so I grab commercial fabric from my stash. I like how these turned out. Each pile has most of the same fabrics. Most of the fabric had white backgrounds and few were peach. Some of the fabric were not washed before I dyed them. After being washed and dried they held the dye. I have no plans for these fabrics so they will go back in my stash.
