My Sons First NJROTC Drill Meet

I did not get to sew, read emails or blogging done today. We got up today at 4:15 am and did not get home until after 5:00pm. I am going to eat dinner and go to sleep.

Today was my sons first drill meet. The drill team came home with one 1st place trophy, four 2nd place trophies, 3rd place overall trophy and two 3rd place trophies for knockout. I can't explain much about what is going on in the photos because I need to learn what the different drills are and how they work.

The 1st and 2nd photos are of Armed Exhibition. This is a rifle routine created by the team. That is my son in the front on the right.

This is the Personnel Inspection. Each cadet is inspected, asked questions and graded.

All the schools are lining up for Knockout. There are over 300 cadets total. Knockout is like playing Simon Says.

Have a Great Evening and Sweet Dreams,

Debbi

Looks like and Awe inspiring day. I like watching this kind of activity. They all look so good, dressed in their uniforms and being professional. You must be a happy and proud momma.

These are some great pictures Debbi. How wonderful that your son is participating in this Drill group. I'm way over the hill and past 60, but I have really good memories of being part of the Civil Air Patrol while I was in high school in the 1950. I think things like this offer a vast benefit to a young person willing to be open to the discipline of drill. Good for him and you as his parents. Hugs, Finn
