Scraps and Fabric Stash Here I Come

I am not one for goals but I did make a promise to myself that in the month of January I would touch every piece of fabric in my over grown stash. Last week I sorted through two scraps tubs.

Today I am cutting 6 - 8 inch strips from every piece of fabric I own. Once I get the strips ironed I will decide what to do with them.

In Honor of Nancy's Birthday I need to read Mary's Blog and find out more about the Heart String Quilt Project. If I am not to far behind their schedule I will make some blocks for the project. I did check the String Quilting Primer at Quiltville but I need to make sure what finished size Mary's needs. I need to sew something easy to keep my mind off my life troubles.

I am still working on my January Journal Quilt.

Have A Great Evening!

Hi Debbi, sound like a lot of fabric fondling going on at your house..*VBS* I think my stash could stand a dose of that also..it's gotten pretty messy lately.
Sorry to hear you've been having trouble with your blog template, but I must say you are a brave girl to keep trying...*S* I'm pretty chicken when it come to that stuff. Hugs, Finn

I love to play in my stash. A few years ago I did just exactly what you're doing now. And I really need to do it again just to revisit the things I have and cut strips of the newer stuff to go in my strip bins.

Thank you so much for making birthday blocks for me. But I'm warning you they're addicting. You can't make just one. :-) And there is no timeline with the Heartstrings Project. Just jump in and make/send in blocks whenever you feel like it.
