Fabric For Art Quilt

Today I worked on the design, color and fabric selection. I used Joen Wolfrom's 3-in-1 Color Tool to find what colors would work with the leaf focus fabric. I decided to use Split-Complementary colors. This is the first time I used the 3-in-1 Color Tool and had to search the studio to find where I filed it for safe keeping. Once I cut the fabric I will know if the colors work together or if I need to make changes.

the colours you've chosen look great. I've never used that tool for choosing colours -- just a simple colour wheel, but then your whole approach is different from mine as I can never seem to sketch or work from a plan either! :-)

I love the addition of the orange -- it will really pop out the other colors! You might think about some browns too, which oddly enough, is just a variation of orange.

I have just started to use the 3 in 1 color tool too and so far have found it very useful. It has helped me to understand color better and it has suggested to me combinations that I never would have come up with on my own.
