It Is A Winter Wonderland Here In Chicagoland

Photos from around my house this afternoon and this evening. We have about 12 inches of new snow. In the middle of the storm this afternoon I went for a half mile walk. It was so cool to walk when I could only see a few feet in front of me. I am not a big fan of the cold winters in Chicagoland but love snow storms.

Happy to read that you are doing better. I like your snow pictures. I love the face on the snow man. Now that is a clever idea to use the barquets.

Wow. It's been so many years since I lived in snow that I can't imagine it.

Brrrrrr!

Beautiful--I like winter, but I must admit I've had about enough. Glad you're continuing to improve!

So glad that you are doing so much better -- the walks will help. I think your story is a good one for people to see -- and to remember to listen to their bodies (btw -- even if it was ONLY pnumonia -- um, you should have gone to the DR!!! Respiratory infections can kill too ya know! Sorry -- nag session over). Keep getting better! As for the snow -- um, yeah, a foot here too. Ick. I want some spring!

I agree... if it's going to snow, then let's make it a big one, and then it's worth while.... right?

Great pics! I have them too as I also live just north of the city. But I have to say, I am just about sick to death of shoveling!!

I think I would love to see one of your snowy days. Then I think maybe that is a bit TOO much!
