What A Weekend and Monday Was Off To A Bad Start

I have not been out of bed from Friday to early this morning. I hate being sick and would of stayed in bed today. At 5AM this morning my husband woke me to say he needed to go to the hospital because he was in a lot of pain. He thinks he has a kidney stone. We went to the emergency room and sure enough he has not just 1 stone but 5 of them. 1 stone is very big(4MM) and the other 4 stones are smaller. He is so strong and never gets sick so I know he is in a lot of pain when he asks to go to the hospital.

I have over 600 new blogger comments to read and 100 new emails. I will never catchup.

Yes the snow arrived in Chicagoland as promised on Friday. My son had to go to school because they did not cancel classes. Someone needs to knock some sense into the Superintendents of the high school and grade schools . The schedule has built in snow days and one should of been used. The students may have been safe riding in the bus because they do not have very far to travel. The bus drivers had their hands full driving in the snow and with the other idiots on the road it was not very safe. The teachers have far to travel and they were put in harms way. I just don't understand the Superintendents thinking.

On Friday I got my pincushion and gifts from Samantha. Here are photos of what Samantha sent me. Didn't Samantha do an outstanding job. You must stop by Samantha's blog and see her very cute pincushions. Samantha says she is a horrible blogger because she does not post often because life gets busy. I know all about that and if not for fellow blogger friends I would of lost touch with the world when my Mom was sick and passed away. So lets try to motive her by stopping by her blog and leaving comments every once in awhile just to say Hi.

If you want to know more about the Pincushion Challenge stop by "the Pincushion challenge"blog for more information and join the fun.

I sent a package today ( I am a week late) to my swap mate and as soon as she gets it I will post photos.

Thank-you everyone who has sent well wishes the past few days!

Take Care and Have A Great Day!

Sorry to hear about your husband, as they say when it rains it snows. Don't worry about the e-mail and comment replies. Do what is necessary, that care of the home front. Great goodies in the package. Enjoy!!!!!!!!!

Sorry your husband has kidney stones. My husband has had them a couple of times and I know how painful they are. He learned that he has to drink a lot of water to prevent getting them. Since he learned that he has had no more problems. Hope you both feel better soon.

I hope you are feeling better by now. It is a real drag to have both adults in a house sick. Chin up!

My Dad used to get kidney stones and would often be rolling in the floor in agony. Hope he gets rid of those soon and as painlessly as possible. And hope you feel better soon as well. I picked up a nasty cold in Utah so am also under the weather. Yuck!

Doesn't sound like any fun at all, and I hope all the problems are gone by now.
You got all the snow that passed us by last weekend. And I agree, school shouldn't be open when they are pre-warned about a storm like that one. Neat stuff in your package! Hugs, Finn
