This morning I dyed a piece of silk I found in a box this weekend. The bottom is cotton scraps to absorb the extra dye. I also added rock salt to the fabric. Now I have to be patient and let the fabric dry, this is the hard part.
Have A Great Day!

I dyed a lot of silk in the past, usually painting though with it stretched on a frame. If I got too impatient or wanted to stop the movement of the dye I used a hairdryer. I used Dupont or Senelier dyes and gutta to outline the shapes. I haven't done much since I started quilting.
This is a beautiful picture of your dyeing process... I am very eager to see what this lovely piece of silk becomes, the colors are so vibrant!
The colours are lovely.
Happy Blogiversary too.
I have loved meeting you, & hope this next year is better than your last.
