Dye-na-Flow Dyes

This morning I dyed a piece of silk I found in a box this weekend. The bottom is cotton scraps to absorb the extra dye. I also added rock salt to the fabric. Now I have to be patient and let the fabric dry, this is the hard part.

Have A Great Day!

I dyed a lot of silk in the past, usually painting though with it stretched on a frame. If I got too impatient or wanted to stop the movement of the dye I used a hairdryer. I used Dupont or Senelier dyes and gutta to outline the shapes. I haven't done much since I started quilting.
